spring is for blossoming: a collection of poetry and prose

i am living unrehearsed

i read old literature i used to pass the time with
and poetry i meticulously laced onto a page.
i listen to songs i resonated with
and smell perfumes i decorated myself in.
i envision the girl i grew out of and wonder
how she ever got along
without the awareness of your existence.
she could not see you were within me
all the while,
as my soul recognized yours upon first sight.

permanence most certainly has not prevailed.
as for myself, this also pertains.
those who swear people never change
are the ones who only know to stay the same.

trust the unseen energy
conspiring in alignment
with your highest destiny.
